Our Glamour session with Ming

We would like to congratulate our dear friend, Ming Chen, for winning this year’s Women of Hope Award in the ‘Children’s Advocate’ category.

This award honours inspirational women in HK, and the specific category recognizes those who actively advocate for, and nurture, children as well as those who devote time towards working on initiatives to aid children’s future development.

We were fortunate to photograph Ming as one of our glamour models under our soon-to-launch ROSA & DANIEL GLAMOUR line. As a creative writer and an avid marathon runner – with some 50 races under her belt – we hope that these images bring out her energy, spirit and beautiful heart.

Congratulations again, Ming.

A Touch of Glamour

One of our dearest friends, Helen Griffiths, a very talented kinesiologist, modelled for us recently in our new studio for our soon-to-launch Glamour line. After a touch of hair and make-up magic, we utilised natural light and photographed Helen against simple backdrops to help accentuate her best features and bring out her essence.

We are very excited about this new style of portraiture and look forward to launching the Glamour line in 2016!

A Sizzling Soprano

It was delightful to help Jessica who came to us for some portraits for an upcoming operatic role in Italy.

Jessica is an accomplished lyric-coloratura soprano who will be reprising the role of the Queen of the Night in a production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute this summer on the Amalfi Coast. In the studio, she demonstrated her artistry by belting out with power and finesse some of her favourite arias.

Watch out, Diana Damrau and Sarastro!

A moment of reflection for Rei & Tony

The studio was dark, the mood quiet, and the only light came from a faint modelling lamp on the studio strobes which beautifully sculpted the figures of 2 young parents-to-be. Rei & Tony specially flew in from Shanghai for this shoot, and we are very grateful to them for  this cathartic experience and for sharing these special moments with us. They are now the happy parents of a beautiful baby boy named Louis. Congratulations Rei & Tony!

Catnap Kaylee

Newborn sessions are incredibly special and rewarding. Babies at this phase are usually sleepy, pliable and retain much of the natural curl from being inside mommy’s tummy.

We love this image of baby Kaylee at 2 weeks young and want to thank Michelle and Dickson for bringing their adorable daughter into our studio and trusting us with capturing these wonderful moments.

A Kiss and a Smile

Daisuke and Yayori found us, quite by chance, through the concierge at the Four Seasons Hotel in Tokyo where they got married a few years ago. When they came to HK for a brief stay recently, they jumped at the opportunity of coming to our studio and we are very grateful to them for doing so.

For us, this image really stood out as it shows a very special moment between mommy and Rui – a tickle-loving, Japanese songs singing, curly haired sweetie – a moment that underscores a powerful connection and love between a parent and a child.

Uno, Duo, Trio

This is the 4th time in 5 years that we have had the pleasure and good fortune of helping Tania and Stan.

In 2009, as first time expectant parents, Tania and Stan came to our studio with big smiles and a 33-week bump. 5 years on, after successively capturing Nolan and younger brother Liam as newborns, we have just been introduced to baby Owen at 15 days young. One of Owen’s favourite past-times was spending time in slumberland whilst his bigger brothers loved treating their parents as the world’s softest pillows!

Thank you, Tania and Stan, for trusting us once again!

Moody Blues

When we captured this image of young Ethan with his trombone, we were inspired by the cover art of the Blue Note LP covers from the 50’s. This young boy of only 14 had a maturity far beyond his years and this was more than matched by the grace and poise with which he carried himself. Ethan’s 2 sisters, Lauren and Vivian, were also 2 of the brightest, most expressive and athletic subjects we have had the pleasure of photographing.
Thank you, Stacie and David, for bringing your 3 gorgeous children to our studio and letting us record some lasting memories for your family. We had an enormous amount of fun not to mention an incredible workout during what was a very intense but enjoyable session!
